La Mine’ Rail sledging

Snowshoeing is a winter activity where you strap wide, lightweight frames (called snowshoes) onto your boots, allowing you to walk easily on snow without sinking in too deeply. The snowshoes make it possible to explore snowy trails and off-piste areas that would be difficult to reach otherwise. It’s often compared to hiking, but gentler, with the bonus of quiet, snow-covered landscapes all around.
It is easy to pick up — no skills or experience needed — making it the perfect way for everyone to explore the quieter side of the mountains. Moving at a relaxed pace, you’ll wander through peaceful trails and hidden alpine corners, soaking up the magic of winter. Go on your own or join an ESF (French Ski School) instructor, who can lead you through sparkling powder while sharing insights into local wildlife, mountain plants, and the traditions of the charming villages scattered along the slopes.

Ice climbing is exactly what it sounds like — climbing ice! Using special gear like crampons and ice axes, you scale frozen waterfalls, icy cliffs, and solid walls of snow as if they were vertical playgrounds. It’s equal parts adventure and workout, giving you the chance to experience the mountains in a completely new (and very cool) way. No prior experience is needed, as professional guides provide all the instruction and equipment to get you started — but be ready, it can be physically demanding and will test your stamina. With every swing of the axe and step of your crampons, you’ll discover both the challenge and the exhilaration of conquering nature’s frozen masterpieces.
